UV Light Sterillizer

Gambar
What is UV Light Sterillizer? . The use of ultraviolet light (UV) for germicidal irradiation is not a new idea. UV has been used for disinfection since the mid-20th century, with beginnings even earlier when sunlight was investigated for bactericidal effects in the mid-19th century. It’s used for drinking and wastewater treatment. UV has been proven effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. Viruses contain RNA or DNA and are thus susceptible to irradiation. Bacteria and fungi both contain DNA and are similarly vulnerable to UV light. Spores are also susceptible to UV. . How Does UV Work?? . Ultraviolet light exists within the spectrum of light between 10 and 400 nm. The germicidal range of UV is within the 100-280nm wavelengths, known as UV-C, with the peak wavelength for germicidal activity being 265 nm. This range of UV light is absorbed by the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, which causes changes in the DNA and RNA structure, rendering the microorganisms incapable...

Softener Filter Media

Softener Filter Media? In this application, ion-exchange resins are used to replace the magnesium and calcium ions found in hard water with sodium ions. When the resin is fresh, it contains sodium ions at its active sites. When in contact with a solution containing magnesium and calcium ions (but a low concentration of sodium ions), the magnesium and calcium ions preferentially migrate out of solution to the active sites on the resin, being replaced in solution by sodium ions. This process reaches equilibrium with a much lower concentration of magnesium and calcium ions in solution than was started with. . The resin can be recharged by washing it with a solution containing a high concentration of sodium ions. The calcium and magnesium ions migrate from the resin, being replaced by sodium ions from the solution until a new equilibrium is reached. The salt is used to recharge an ion-exchange resin, which itself is used to softening the hard water. . There are a lot of benefits ...

Carbon Filter Media

What is Carbon Filter What is Carbon Filter Media? . Activated carbon is usually derived from charcoal. In water purification applications used granular activated carbon (GAC). Granular activated carbon has a relatively larger particle size compared to powdered activated carbon. Activated Carbon ( Coconut charcoal Granulated ) media is an excellent filtration media, having high density with a balanced pore structure. . Activated carbon works via a process called adsorption, whereby pollutant molecules in the fluid to be treated are trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon substrate. Typical particle sizes that can be removed by carbon filters range from 0.5 to 50 micrometres. . For economical option granular activated carbon (GAC) is integrated in the cartridge filter. The GAC ( granular activated carbon ) cartridge filter are easy to maintain then the activated carbon filter but the cartridge life is limited then activated carbon filter. The cartridge filter is not suppo...
